Two weeks ago, the NRL GDS Transfer Market was drier than a desert, but since the conclusion of the Big Bash and the hype of the NRL Pre-season just around the corner, the market has heated up, and heated up quickly. If this is your first time entering the Transfer Market or you’re a veteran of GDS Wall Street, let’s look at what’s happening and the bargains for your NRL GameDay Squad. Like any key stock or cryptocurrency, getting in early on those that are undervalued will give you an edge on your competition. Yours truly in NFL Dynasty let a young Kyren Williams go to waivers two years ago, let’s not make that mistake in the NRL.

The cheap bargains for your NRL GameDay Squad to BUY NOW:

SILVER T.May
Not Tyrone, not Taylan, but Terrell. Terrell is primed for a huge year at the Tigers with a huge void left by Utoikamanu. In an underwhelming Tigers team in 2024, Uto average 48.6 in 53 minutes. With more flair through the signing of Laui and meters from the back with Turuva and Skelton, May has a huge platform to grow on his average minutes of 45 for an average of 55 points with the Roosters in 2024. I predict a silver May to score between 62-65 for your GDS team in 2025 and for $2 on the Transfer Market, May is a set and forget.

Dylan Lucas
Lucas finished the 2024 season as the 2RF #4 tied with Olakau’atu and Kolomatangi while playing 40% of his games starting at CTR. Usually we would be looking for positional advantages of second rowers playing in the centre position, but for Lucas the points differential is only 2 ppg. Lucas is a must have for all GDS Coaches in 2025 and at $1.25 for his silver card, he is immediately playable with a favorable bye schedule. For those playing in the Champion competition, a Dylan Lucas diamond for $125 sits on the Transfer Market. With weekly prizes for third being $100, it’s almost a money back situation if you finish in a top 3 for one week and that is your Dylan Lucas for the next 10 years.

Keano Kini
One of the most sought after cards on the market and in my DMs is Kini from the Titans. Kini exploded onto the scene last year as an injury replacement at FLB for Jayden Campbell, but has cemented his spot now with a breathtaking second half of the year. In a 3 game stretch across the bye rounds, Kini averaged 94.2 as a silver player. Kini ended the season as the 9 highest average WFB and was only 5 points per game off the top 5. With an improved Titans side in Dez’s second year, I can see Kini breaking into the ‘elite’ category for WFB. Finding players cheap now, who won’t play Origin (Kini, Tapine, Hughes) will help you feature heavily in bye rounds as you play for the Overall prize. For $2, but many Kini’s as he will be a great trade bait in about 10 weeks time for you to build your dynasty.

Zac Lomax
On January 31, news broke that Mitch Moses has handed the reigns of goal kicking at Parramatta to Lomax. A diamond Lomax averaged 74.7 at the Dragons and with an improvement in the halves with Moses and Brown, there is potential for Lomax to average the same from his career year. Even with a little regression, a set 70-75 points in the Winger position is a lock for me. If a diamond Harry Grant was on the market for $60, would you pay it? Lomax average 2 more points per game than Grant and is $440 cheaper than the current and only Diamond Grant on the market. Will you play for the upside in WFB or will you set and forget? $60 is a bargain for a keeper for the next 5-7 years.
How will you build your starting team? Will you opt to continue to opening packs in hope for the diamond in the rough, or will you build your team through the transfer market. Let me know in the comments below and hit me up on discord at ‘thexrpeffect’ for any team building advice.
